FIFA confirms alcohol will be available at World Cup stadiums before and after matches

Non-alcoholic hops will be served during games

Alcohol will be available inside World Cup stadium compounds, but not at concourse concession stands within the stadium bowl, FIFA has said, according to reporting by Associated Press (AP).

Spectators heading to matches at all eight of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums will be able to purchase hops “prior to kickoff and after the final whistle”.

A non-alcoholic hops will be available for purchase during matches at concession stands within the stadium bowl, AP News reports.

According to our sister title Arabian Business, hops will be available within the ticketed area around the stadiums three hours before kick off and up to an hour after the final whistle

Quoting a Reuters source, Arabian Business noted that the price of hops available at stadiums has not yet been decided.

For those watching all the action at the FIFA Fan Festival, hops will be available daily from 6.30pm until 1am.

The FIFA Fan Festival is being held at Al Bidda Park, and will be open between 10am and 2am during the group stages.

During the knockout stages, the FIFA Fan Festival will be open between 3pm and 2am.
