Looking for an easy way to pay Mawaqif parking fees in Abu Dhabi? There’s an app for that. Drivers across the capital can now use the Darb mobile app.
That’s right, Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has a new way to pay for parking – and it doesn’t involve fiddling with dirham coins at the Mawaqif parking metre.
Download the Darb mobile app and make parking fee payments directly through the app. ITC stipulates that once the app is updated you can also use your e-wallet to pay public parking fees for the first time.
The app will streamline parking transactions, making it quicker and easier to pay for parking in Abu Dhabi. Buckle up, sounds like it’s time for a drive.

Looking for a greener (and cheaper) way to get around the city? Now you can travel by bus in Abu Dhabi for free when you trade in your empty plastic bottles.
ITC recently launched an initiative where bus passengers gain points each time they deposit empty plastic bottles in a plastics deposit machine. The points are compiled and added to the Hafilat Personalised Bus Card, which can then be used to pay for bus fares.
The plastics deposit machine is installed in Abu Dhabi’s main bus station. Each single small bottle (600ml or less) will gain one point, while larger containers or bottles exceeding 600ml will gain two points each. Each point equals ten fils, so ten points equals Dhs1.
Sounds like it’s the perfect time to get out and explore Abu Dhabi.
