Where is Expo City Dubai?

Expo City Dubai will be exactly where Expo 2020 was. The city will even feature 80 per cent of Expo-built infrastructure.

How do I get to Expo City Dubai?

Expo City Dubai will be reachable by Dubai Metro via Expo 2020 station. Plans are in place for buggies, scooters and bicycles to be the modes of transport used in the zone. Cars will not be allowed in Expo City Dubai.

When is Expo City Dubai opening?

Expo City Dubai is scheduled to open its first phase in September 2022.

Will any of the pavilions from Expo 2020 stay at Expo City Dubai?

Yes, several pavilions will remain. The UAE Pavilion, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion, Woman’s Pavilion, Vision Pavilion, Alif – the Mobility Pavilion and Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion will be at Expo City Dubai. Other pavilions that will still be able to be visited will be reworked versions of the Luxembourg, Australia, Pakistan, India, Morocco and Egypt pavilions.

Al Wasl Plaza, the Garden in the Sky observation tower and the surreal water feature will all be able to be accessed at Expo City Dubai.

A new exhibition called Stories of Nations will be present. The Opportunity Pavilion will become the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum.

Do I have to pay to go to Expo City Dubai?

It will be free to enter Expo City Dubai but to visit the attractions there will be a fee. The price of tickets will be announced at a later date.

What else will Expo City Dubai have?

Expo City Dubai will have a 10 kilometre bike track, a 5 kilometre running track and vast amounts of outdoor spaces. Restaurants, entertainment and retail venues will also be part of Expo City Dubai. People will also be able to live in homes in Expo City Dubai and business hubs will also be opening there. It will be the largest space in the world to be fully covered by a 5G-enabled network.

Is Expo City Dubai going to be sustainable?

Expo City Dubai will be fully pedestrianised. Expo City Dubai will be free of single-use plastic and will include more that 1200 LEED-certified buildings. The world’s largest installation of Mindsphere – Siemens’ a cloud technology platform that uses smart metering and sensors to monitor energy consumption and efficiency of power, light, water and climate conditioning systems – will be used at Expo City Dubai.
