On Monday September 26, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced that from Wednesday September 28 wearing face masks will no longer be mandatory in most settings in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the announcement, NCEMA announced that it will be up to airlines to decide “if wearing face masks is mandatory or optional”.
The only places in which face masks will be mandatory in the UAE are mosques, hospitals and on public transport.
