Gear up for exciting events in Abu Dhabi this season

With the weather cooling down, it’s the ideal time to head outdoors. And if you’re in Abu Dhabi, get excited because there will be loads of things to do this season.

The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT) has announced its lineup of events for the 2022/2023 season. The Abu Dhabi events calendar is set to run over 180 days, jam-packed with explosive events.

Gear up for cultural festivals, concerts by international artists, e-sporting events, live interactive family shows, opera performances and performances by dancers.

We’re at the edge of our seats because events will include live concerts by BlackPink, Andrea Bocelli and A. R. Rahman, too.

Wondering what’s in store for October and November? You can look forward to a Club Social Festival running from 28 to 30 October which will feature a weekend of music, food and drinks.

Get ready to boogie because Liam Gallagher, Kaiser Chiefs and Clean Bandit will be taking the stage.

Arabic concerts are also in store. Much-loved musicians will be performing starting with George Wassouf on October 14.

Abu Dhabi Showdown Week (ADSW) 2022 will run from 17 October to 30 October, headlined by the highly anticipated UFC 280: Oliveira vs Makhachev on 22 October at the Etihad Arena.

Boxing fanatics, Matchroom Boxing will take place on 5 November. WBA Light-Heavyweight belt holder Dmitry Bivol will go up against Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, so it’s not to be missed.

Classical music lovers can enjoy a performance by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli on 24 November and party-goers can head to Amplified, a three-day music festival featuring OneRepublic, Ministry Of Sound and Cigarettes After S, from 11 to 13 November at Yas Links Abu Dhabi.

Kiddos can look forward to Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, hosted at the Etihad Arena from November to December. And last but not least, American rapper Post Malone will be returning to Abu Dhabi this December for another outstanding performance.

Of course, a World Cup Fanzone event is in store too. Yas Links Abu Dhabi will host Abu Dhabi’s flagship World Cup Fanzone from 20 November to 18 December.

Guests can expect a high-energy viewing experience, delectable dining options, an e-gaming zone, amongst other exciting football activations.
