Justin Bieber Dubai tour update: refunds now available as October gigs officially cancelled

Did you have tickets for Bieber’s Dubai gigs? Here’s everything you need to know

Global megastar Justin Bieber’s Dubai 2022 gigs, part of his The Justice World Tour, are officially cancelled.

The Justin Bieber Dubai concerts, due to be held at The Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9, will no longer go ahead following the popstar’s health concerns.

On September 6, Bieber announced on his social media accounts that he would be postponing his tour as he recovered from his battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome earlier this year.

In his post, the multi-platinum, multi-Grammy award winning star said: “I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok but I need time to rest and get better”.

The syndrome left the 12-times Platinum record seller with face paralysis meaning he had to cancel the North America leg of the tour. Since then, he has suspended most of his international dates, too.

Dubai fans have been anxiously awaiting the fate of the gigs in the city.

Beliebers were expecting a mega performance including impressive lasers and lightshows, as well as all the very best Justin Bieber hits from his most recent album like Yummy, Lonely, Peaches, Stay and his latest track Honest.

Today, Thursday September 15, organiser TOP Events announced that the two October concerts planned for Dubai would be cancelled.

Anyone that has already bought tickets will be automatically refunded.

Owner of TOP Entertainment, Thomas Ovesen, said in an Instagram post this evening: “First and foremost we support Justin in putting his health and wellbeing first. Whilst his decison to cancel the two Dubai dates is very disappointing for his many Middle Eastern fans, we are sending him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

“Our thoughts are also with everyone on The Justice World Tour as well as the many people involved in preparing the Dubai shows”.

Tickets will be automatically refunded to the same card used for the transaction and refunds can take up to 21 days.

TOP Entertainment is reassuring fans that refunds are automatic, so if you’re affected, it’s best to wait until 21 days are up before contacting your point of purchase.

Other gigs affected worldwide include those in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Bahrain, Israel and India during September and October. All tickets will be refunded to these, too.
