More hotel rooms in Qatar released for World Cup fans to book

Prices start at QR584 per night

Got tickets to the World Cup but haven’t managed to sort accommodation in Qatar yet? We have good news, as more hotel rooms are now available to book.

The extra hotel inventory has just been released by the country’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.

The Committee previously held 130,000 keys in the country for FIFA World Cup ticket holders, sponsors and football teams.

According to our sister title Hotelier Middle East, up to 60 percent of that supply is now available for regular football fans to book.

The official accommodation website for ticket holders now shows several available properties.

Hotels such as Le Park Hotel; Best Western Plus Doha; Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park; Warwick Doha and JW Marriott Marquis City Center currently have rooms listed to book.

The cheapest among them is La Castle Hotel, starting at QR584 (US$163) a night, while the JW is the most expensive, costing QR3,318 ($929) per night.

There are also numerous apartments and villas available to book, seven different fan village areas, and two cruise ships hotels.

In April this year, FIFA president Gianni Infantino told Reuters “there will be accommodation for everyone” during the World Cup, adding that fans should consider visiting nearby GCC states, too.
