You have bagged your ticket to the World Cup, sorted out your Hayya Card and now there is another thing to add to your to-do list; getting a COVID-19 test.
It has been confirmed that those heading to Qatar to see a footie match need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test. This applies whether you they have been vaccinated or not.
Fans aged six and above must attend armed with their negative PCR test result which must have been taken within 48 hours before their departure.

If you prefer to take a rapid antigen test then that is an option too, but this must be taken in the 24 hours before arriving in Qatar.
Unsure of when the test result will need to be handed over? Be ready to show your negative result at the airport check-in counter and remember to take the test in the country of origin.
You don’t have to think about sorting a negative test when you hop on a plane to depart from Qatar as they country does not require travellers to take a COVID-19 test before departure.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that you won’t need a face mask as fans will need to wear nose and mouth coverings on public transport in Qatar.
The 2022 Qatar World Cup will begin Sunday November 20 with kick off at Al Bayt Stadium.
