The pop-up is part of a big announcement

Ready to dive into art? You can at the new and free teamLab Phenomena pop-up in Abu Dhabi from tomorrow. The immersive art exhibition is at Mamsha Al Saadiyat.

If culture in the capital is what you’re after, Saadiyat is the place to be, especially now that there’s a new teamLab Phenomena pop-up at Mamsha Al Saadiyat.

TeamLab Phenomena is an immersive digital experience with two eye-popping exhibitions that you’re going to want on your feed. The TeamLab pop-up is located next to Society Café, on the far end of the boulevard and is open from Friday June 24 to Sunday July 17. Get thee to Saadiyat for the free exhibition.

Once you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a dark room and blast of A.C. (very necessary after even a short walk from the carpark), which puts you in the right mood to see some fascinating digital art.

The first exhibition is a golden sea of constantly moving waves that stretches down a mirrored hallway. You are immersed in the artwork as it swirls around you (plus there are some pretty great selfie ops).

Next up you’ll follow another hallway into a mirrored room filled with glowing orbs. You can touch the orbs, push them and watch them respond to your touch with colours and sounds. Kids (and your inner child) will love this.

You’ll also get to see a video about the permanent teamLab Phenomena space that will be coming to Abu Dhabi in 2024. Exciting stuff.
