UAE’s first toy and book rental platform, Toyshare, launches

Families can save while being more sustainable

Kids grow up so fast. And as such, keeping children updated with the latest toys and books can be a costly business.

The UAE’s first-of-its-kind platform, Toyshare, has just launched to help families across the UAE save dirhams on this while being sustainable

The app-hosted platform was founded by Hani AlQattan, a UAE National airline captain who identified a gap in the market from his own parenting experience.

Working how the rental system works? Toyshare’s offerings comprise a fortnightly delivery of educational books and toys. These are collected and replaced with a fresh batch, which aims to assist learning and creativity in kids.

The hand-selected array of books and toys span over 100 high-end brands, suitable for kids between aged one to twelve. Toys include timeless faves such as Lego, Nerf guns and LeapFrog. After more family reading material? books are from a selection of 40 publishers to suit varying abilities and interests.

Toyshare offers are a range of customisable subscriptions available, which can be tailored to meet each family’s requirements. After more toys? What a specific kind of book? Customise the Toyshare subscription accordingly.

All of the items undergo thorough sterilisation using environment-friendly cleaning products and top-quality UV lights for safety and peace of mind. As a secondary precaution, there’s an added lock on each package to ensure no contamination during their dispatching via Aramex delivery.

Once Toyshare books and toys are retired, they are donated to charity Toys With Wings, which distributes them to less-fortunate children in refugee camps, orphanages, centres for disabled children and paediatric hospitals.

Toyshare is currently a trial phase for Dhs59. Standard pricing will start from Dhs67 and comprises two deliveries a month with one book and one toy included.
