1. Global Village to host eight firework shows on New Year’s Eve

On December 31, Global Village will synchronise celebrations to mark New Year’s Eve in eight different destinations around the globe. Fireworks will start at the Park during the daytime as Australia enters the New Year at 5pm UAE time. Guests will then herald the New Year in the Philippines at 8pm, Thailand at 9pm, Bangladesh at 10pm, India at 10.30pm and Pakistan at 11pm. At midnight, a dazzling five-minute long fireworks display will delight guests as the UAE welcomes the New Year. An hour later at 1am, the eighth and final fireworks display will coincide with the New Year in Russia.

2. Bid bon voyage to 2021 from Dubai waters

The market has been segmented into four distinct districts, each with its own unique experiences inspired by the four natural elements – Air, Earth, Fire and Water. The journey begins with the Water District, letting visitors explore the fluidity and magic of water. The attractions include bubble hoops letting visitors young and old create large soap bubbles of various sizes and lengths; there’s a cloud ring launcher, an ultrasonic transducer that creates microscopic water droplets that evaporate the instant they interact with the air, creating thick fog, so visitors can launch a solid ring of the mist into the air. Along with Augmented Reality installations and much more, this event really is fascinating and entertaining for all.
