Massive sales incoming: 2022 Dubai Summer Surprises dates announced

Dates for the food festival and fitness challenge have also been revealed

UAE shoppers, you’d better hold onto your wallets because Dubai Summer Surprises has announced its 2022 dates. The shopping extravaganza will feature 17 festivals with ten weeks of slashed prices across malls, hotels, restaurants and entertainment complexes all over town.

The festival goes from Friday July 1 to Sunday September 4. Dubai Summer Surprises is second only to the festive season for many people’s yearly calendars and for good reason. Aside from sales that will have you bragging about your incredible finds all year, DSS also brings dining experiences and activities to the city.

Family-favourite characters Modesh and Dana will be appearing again this summer with their pop-up Modesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre from Monday July 11 to Sunday August 28. One of the region’s largest indoor events, the pop-up includes rides, games, and live shows.

There will also be the DSS 2022 Summer Restaurant Week, where eateries across the city will offer special prices and set menus for foodies to dig into.

There will also be raffles with mega prizes to be won. Last year, there were cars, daily jackpots as big as Dhs10,000, luxury items and events tickets being given away to winners.

Dubai Summer Surprises also offers a range of arts and cultural activities to the city. From theatre performances to arts workshops, the city’s culture will come alive with DSS this summer. The full schedule is yet to be confirmed, but it will be announced on the DSS website in the coming weeks.

Dubai Summer Surprises is not the only festival returning in 2022. Dubai Food Festival will return from Monday May 2 to Sunday May 15. There will be a huge line-up of dining experiences across the city including Dubai Restaurant Week.

Dubai Fitness Challenge is returning from Saturday October 29 to Sunday November 27. The event encourages everyone to exercise for at least 30 minutes per day and includes a wellness activities across the city. Don’t want to wait until the fall to get active?
