Now another new attraction has launched on Yas Island to give you yet another reason to visit the island during the cooler months.
The Sailing and Rowing Centre is now open at Yas Marina in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sailing Academy and Monty’s Rowing & Paddle Sports.
Offering the UAE sporting community a dedicated place for practice, recreation, events and competitions, the venue features a range of courses and events for people of all ages.
The facility means you can learn about sailing and rowing while exploring the waters around Yas Island.
“This is an exciting phase for us here at Yas Marina as we continue to develop our offerings to cater for the sport community,” says Billy Canellas, general manager at Yas Marina.
“The introduction of our new centre is another testimonial of our continued transformation to provide adults and kids with state-of-the-art facilities, top services and the authentic feel of sailing and rowing experience,” he adds.
Meanwhile, Monty Khawaja, owner and founder of Monty’s Rowing & Paddle Sports, says: “Everybody is welcome to row with us, from the absolute beginners to competitive training; our aim is to build a centre of excellence for the sport of rowing.
“In addition, we are also planning to launch a special rowing academy for schools and universities in Abu Dhabi and host local and international regattas. Yas Marina is a perfect location for these events and activities.”
