What better way to escape from the bustle of the city than heading to the tranquil deserts plains of the UAE? With a bit of stretching and stargazing thrown in, no less.
Yoga House is setting up a special desert retreat this weekend, where yogis and relaxation seekers alike can take part in yoga sessions, gong meditation and camp under the stars. Dreamy.
Taking place on Friday January 24, escapists will meet up at the Sharjah Archaeological Museum at 4pm to then make their way to Mleiha Mt Faya Campsite.
From there, campers will start the retreat with a sunset flow yoga class followed by a gong meditation session.
Once the sun goes down, Yoga House will have a guided stargazing session with equipment to catch the UAE desert’s night sky, along with a campfire at the campsite to relax by.
No need for camping gear, as the retreat will provide fully equipped tents to spend the night in. Then, it’s up at the crack of dawn for a rise and shine yoga session.
The retreat will also feature an Arabian-style barbecue dinner (with veggie options), along with breakfast the next day before setting off back to the city.
