ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is returning for its third edition

Register this May for an early bird discount

After being postponed in 2020 (because well, you know), ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon has announced it’s back for its third edition.

The annual fitness event is happening on Friday November 26 and as always, the race will feature distances of 42km, 10km, 5km, and 2.5km.

Organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and in partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), registrations for the marathon are now open and with an early bird discount, too – sign up this May and you’ll be treated to a 20 percent discount.

“This year’s event will be extra special as it will provide a unique opportunity for the entire community to safely come together in celebration as we mark the UAE’s golden jubilee year.”

“Race distances ranging from 2.5km, 5km, 10km, marathon relay and the full marathon are available, alongside a training and support program, so we encourage everyone to participate in what promises to be an exciting marathon and unforgettable multicultural experience,” said His Excellency Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, places for the 2021 ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon are limited and keen runners are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.

Runners who registered to take part in the 2020 edition have automatically been registered for the 2021 event and at no additional cost. It’s also been announced that all participants must be fully vaccinated to take part in the race.

A free weekly training programme is also launching at TrainYAS with tailored sessions and fitness plans for runners in all categories. The free weekly sessions will be happening at the Yas Marina Circuit and hosted by Youssef Rochdi, a member of the USA Track & Field Association and winner of multiple long-distance championships.

So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get training.
