4 to try: new spa deals in Abu Dhabi

Eyelash extensions, facial, mani-pedi and more rejuvenating offers

Luminous C and Sea facial
There’s nothing better than a facial designed personally for you. This one will help to prevent your skin from ageing and will repair past damage with a glow you can probably see from space. Using Pevonia products, the treatment starts with a double cleanse, removing all your make-up and impurities. From here your skin will be assessed and then you can choose the personalised facial you want. Our skin is very dry so our lovely therapist recommends the Luminous C and Sea facial which brightens and rejuvenates, and is superb for fine lines, good for sensitive skin and will help to sooth the complexion. The Vitamin Concentrate is worked into your skin in stages so that it is hydrated and nourished. The products seep right into the layers of your skin and there are two masks that are applied to reduce fine lines and to relieve dullness. You will be left with a luminous glow and your skin will feel smoother and firmer.

Eyelash extensions
There’s nothing more stunning than a set of gorgeous eyelashes to make you look your best and lash extensions are becoming increasingly popular. A full set of extensions will normally use 70-100 pieces of synthetic hair, while a half set uses around 50 pieces. A half set is a better choice for a more natural look and you can choose whether to get the top, bottom or both lids done. Expertly wielding two sets of tweezers, the technician will go about the task of painstakingly gluing each hair between your lashes. It’s not invasive or irritating but it does take two hours, so be prepared for a long time sitting around. They will then
go through your lashes with a fine tooth comb and tweezers, separating any that have stuck together with glue, to ensure there are no clumps. The lashes will last about three weeks and you’ll need to go back in to get them removed.
A full set of eyelash extensions at Sisters Beauty Lounge costs Dhs600, a half set costs Dhs425. Khalifah Bin Shakhbout Street, Al Bateen (02 222 2502).

Mani-pedi
There’s no shortage of places to get your nails done in Abu Dhabi, but it’s always good to go somewhere that does a great job every time. Bellacure Nails has only been open just over a year but their personalised service and welcoming environment is proving popular with the ladies of the capital. They offer everything from Minx nails, Bio Sculpture, Gellish and Ciate Caviar polish to standard manicures and pedicures with choices of either Essie or Opi nail polish in a huge range of colours. They are also a spa so after you get your nails done try a massage or a facial. You can even get a hair treatment or a killer blow-dry.
