Luxury Elements Spa

Do you wish you only had to visit one place for all your beauty treatments?

If you’re a busy mum, a career woman or generally just want to save time, you probably don’t have enough spare hours to visit different spas and beauticians when you’re in need of a pampering. Luxury Elements Spa has got round that problem by offering all kinds of treatments under one roof in their three-level villa, including nails, hair, massages, facials and more.

The treatment: step by step
TOAD’s trying a massage and facial and Adde, our therapist, takes us to the treatment room and ushers us into the bathroom to get changed into the robe and slippers provided.

The room we are given for the treatment is tastefully decorated.

Low lighting is featured throughout and there is a decadent feel to the space. As our feet are massaged during the foot ritual we talk about what sort of pressure we would like for our massage and we chat about our skin concerns.

We start the massage and the top middle section of our back is concentrated on as it’s our big area of concern. The Elemis Tension Release massage is essentially a tissue massage which works to manipulate the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques, to enhance body movement and decrease muscle pain while promoting relaxation and well-being. Adde’s touch is incredibly strong (which we had asked for) and she does a superb job of getting our knots out while making sure we are not in too much pain. Two heat packs are moved around different areas of our body during the massage. After this blissful 60-minute experience, which is so relaxing we almost nod off, it’s time to have our facial.

Our skin is diagnosed as dry so the Elemis Fruit Active Glow is applied to our tired and lacklustre complexion. This facial is designed to rehydrate the skin while diminishing fine lines. Things start with a delicate stretching of our neck to improve circulation. Once our face is thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated with a beautiful smelling papaya and pineapple scrub, we are then left to rest with a steam machine to open our pores so that extractions can be made.

A deeply rich and heavy mineral mask is applied to intensely hydrate and revitalise our skin.

The pros
Adde is fantastic at her job. She consistently makes sure that we are comfortable and she genuinely wants us to enjoy the experience. The spa is welcoming and has a very inviting aura. The fact that it is in a villa makes us feel homely while still being professional. We really like how the treatments are specially personalised for each individual and we aren’t in any way rushed through the treatment or experience. The services on offer are quite reasonably priced compared to others in the city.

The cons
Due to the fact that this spa is in a villa it can be slightly noisy and you can hear what’s going on outside. Staff are helpful though and if you alert them to this they are sure to sort it out.

The verdict
The spa evokes an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. The fun, modern décor sets the tone for a chic yet relaxed feel. The personalised treatments that cater to you individually make you feel like the staff really care and they will go out of their way to help you.
