Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2018: Who’s performing at the after-race concerts?

This year sees a star-studded billing coming to thrill the UAE capital

Ask any Abu Dhabi resident what their favourite time of year is and most will undoubtedly say the capital’s Formula One weekend.

It’s when the eyes of the sporting world are on the UAE capital and when some of the globe’s finest talent come to town.

But it’s not all about the race.

It’s also the time of year when we get a string of amazing world-class artists come to perform unforgettable gigs during the four-day festival.

This year is no different, with lots of acts already announced who are sure to make the 10th staging of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix one to remember.

This year, the Abu Dhabi GP takes place at 5.10pm UAE time on Sunday, November 25.

But the fun starts before that, with the first superstar act taking to the stage on Thursday, November 22.

American singer and rapper Post Malone will kick the F1 weekend off in style – and we can’t wait.

You’ll know him for tunes such as Déjà Vu, featuring Justin Beiber, Rockstar, Better Now and Stay.

Friday, November 23 sees Canadian singer The Weeknd perform in what is sure to be an amazing gig.

He is known for tunes such as Love Me Harder, Starboy and Earned It and this is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Next up we have Oscar winner and British crooner Sam Smith, who performs on Saturday, November 24.

You’ll definitely recognise the James Bond theme tune he penned, Writing’s On The Wall, along with Stay With Me, I’m Not The Only One and Too Good At Goodbyes.

And then comes the big night, the final concert, taking place after the Abu Dhabi GP comes to its thrilling conclusion.

American rock icons Guns ‘N’ Roses have the honour of playing us out, and we have no doubt it will be amazing.

The crowd will be rocking to the sound of hits such as November Rain, Welcome To The Jungle and Sweet Child O’ Mine.

We think it’s safe to say this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concerts line-up is epic.

But they’re not the only gigs happening over the course of the weekend, with a host of clubs and bars bringing their own A-listers in.

So far, we’ve had the likes of French Montana, Sigala and DJ Ravin announced.

While superclub base is bringing Tyga and DJ Black Coffee in to join the celebrations.
