UAE Arabian Gulf League sets dates for starting the new season

Kick-off isn’t too far away

Slowly but surely sport is returning to our screens and our stadiums but fans will take a bit longer to be back in the stands.

Football has continued behind closed doors, as with many other sports, and the UFC even recently visited Abu Dhabi to host events without fans.

While we might be lacking in a little atmosphere, the measures taken ensure public safety and help to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Looking ahead to the new season, the UAE Pro League has announced the dates for the 2020-2021 Arabian Gulf League season.

The season will begin with the first leg of the Arabian Gulf Cup playoffs on September 3 and 4 with the return legs on October 1 and 2.

The opening round of matches for the league season will begin on September 9, 10 and 11 with matches hosted across the UAE.

The first half of the league season will conclude on January 1 and 2 with the remainder of the league season set to be scheduled closer to the time.
