Summer is here and with many of us staying in the UAE, staycations are a great way of cooling off and relaxing.
There are loads of places to stay across the UAE but closer to home in Abu Dhabi there are a host of hotels ready to check you in if you don’t fancy venturing too far.

Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi
Deal 1: A summer staycation package for families in the UAE. The hotel, which holds the Guinness World Record for the Furthest Manmade Leaning Building, has launched the The Kids R On Us offer. The deal includes a half board stay for Dhs550 per night plus 50 percent discount ona second or third room for children. In addition, children under the age of 12 eat free at Andaz Lounge and 50 percent discount on food and beverages at the other hotel venues. A staycation in a Guinness World Record-holding building? This impressive hotel in the capital has a deal that’s perfect for families that need two rooms. The second room will be half price if you book both together. It’s available for all room types until September 30 and you’ll get the discount at check in.

Emirates Palace
It doesn’t much more lavish and luxurious than the Emirates Palace and this summer you can book a stay for less with the Summer at the Palace offer. Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi
The Four Seasons is synonymous with luxury and you can expect no less at the hotel at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. If you’re after an out-of-this-world stay but don’t want to break the bank, you’re in luck, as all UAE residents can get 30 percent off the standard room rate and 30 percent off food and spa for the duration of your stay. All you need to do is book over the phone, and present your Emirates ID at check-in.

Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl
The hotel has launched a Kids R On Us family staycation package. Book a stay before September 30 and families can enjoy free breakfast, free meals for children under 12 when the parents are dining, unlimited ice cream for kids during meals and 50 percent discount on food for kids between 12 and 16. Plus you can also take advantage of early check in from 10am and late checkout the next day at 6pm. It’s available until September 30.There’s also a residents deal running, which starts at Dhs499 per night, including breakfast and lunch. You can also get a day pass to the hotel’s beach for Dhs150, which is fully redeemable against food and drinks.

Jumeirah At Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi
Expect early check-in at 10am and check out late at 3pm, complimentary breakfast either within the hotel restaurant or dine in-room, along with 20 percent off dining and beverages and access to a private stretch of beach. Two options are available, with the first offering breakfast with a 40 percent discount on the best available rates, and the second offering a 30 percent discount as well as complimentary breakfast, in addition to lunch or dinner at selected restaurants. The hotel will be following strict social distancing guidelines at its restaurant, private beach and public areas.

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana
Head along to Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana and you can take advantage of their summer staycation offer. Book two nights at the hotel and you can get a 50 percent discount off room rates, so, effectively, you’ll get one night free. Plus, guests can also take advantage of 15 percent discount on food and beverages at the resort. With a private beach that’s now open to guests you can even dip your toes in the sand and swim in the sea to keep cool in the heat. The offer is available until October 4, so you’ve got all summer to pack your bags and head there for a stay.

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi
Le Méridien Abu Dhabi has launched a summer staycation package that’s perfect for a city break. There are two packages to choose from depending on what you’re after. Book in for a staycation and two adults can enjoy an overnight stay, beach access, late check out and Dhs250 credit to spend on food and beverages for Dhs525++. Fancy getting your fill of brunch? The brunch staycation packages offers an overnight stay, beach access, late check-out and access to brunch for two adults for Dhs599++. Plus, with both packages, kids under the age of 12 go free. To brunch or not to brunch? That is the question.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi
Gather the family for a staycation or book a short stay for couples at Rosewood Abu Dhabi and you can enjoy all the perks until the end of December. Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort
Head along to the resort and two adults can enjoy a day on the beach with access to a room for the day for Dhs299, with Dhs150 to spend in credit. Want to throw in an overnight stay? You can enjoy pool access, an overnight stay and breakfast for Dhs499++, for two adults, inclusive of a late check out and Dhs250 to spend at the resorts venues. That’s a pretty good summer deal if we say so ourselves.

The Abu Dhabi EDITION
Fancy a getaway? The Abu Dhabi EDITION has launched a summer staycation deal for UAE residents. Head along to the trendy boutique hotel and you can check in to a Deluxe Marina room for a night’s stay with a great package. Rates start from Dhs700 and as well as enjoying views over Al Bateen marina from your room, two guests can enjoy breakfast, dinner at Alba Terrace, a luxury bath set up, yoga and a Hammamii spa gift. They had us at breakfast and dinner to be honest.

The Westin Abu Dhabi Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi
Deal 1: The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa has launched a summer staycation package. Plus, you’ll also get 35 percent discount on food and beverages at the resort’s venues. Plus, those arriving as a family can also enjoy free meals for up to two children during the stay.

Telal Resort
Offering you the chance to enjoy a short stay away, Telal Resort in Al Ain has launched staycation deals for UAE residents. The Adventure Getaway deal offers an overnight stay for two adults and one child, a camel riding experience and quad biking experience, plus access to all the sporting facilities for Dhs525+++. Looking for something less adventurous and more intimate? The Romantic Desert Escape includes an overnight stay for two adults with breakfast as well as a romantic set up in-room feature decorations and chocolate strawberries for Dhs835+++. Plus, for the summer, residents can enjoy 10 percent discount on resort activities and 20 percent off all spa treatments. Better start packing your bags.

Yas Island Rotana, Abu Dhabi
You can’t think about Abu Dhabi without thinking about the Grand Prix, and the Yas Island Rotana is just minutes away from the track as well as plenty of other attractions, meaning it’s a great place to stay if you want to explore the UAE’s capital. Rates at the hotel start at Dhs315 per night this summer, and the discounted rate will last until September 30.
