Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara is reopening on August 15

Sponsored: Lots to get excited about as the legendary palace returns

There are lots of brilliant hotels in Abu Dhabi, but none are as much of a destination as Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.

The hotel, nestled in the rolling dunes of the Empty Quarter, is getting ready to reopen its doors to guests, with some amazing new additions in place as well as health and safety measures to keep everyone safe.

Rooms at the picturesque property – which was named the most Instagrammable hotel in the world – will be available once more from Saturday August 15 and there are offers in place until October 31, meaning rooms start at Dhs999 and private villas at Dhs1,999.

As part of the resort’s new normal, there is a dedicated Guest Guardian, as part of the Stay With Peace of Mind safety measures, in addition to a comprehensive 360-degree approach to sanitisation.

But that’s not all, as well as your safety being taken care of, there has also been a huge refurbishment, meaning there are new things to discover even if you’ve been to the majestic resort before.

There’s a brand-new pool, complete with children’s area that has soft floors, splash pads and swings, as well as an upgraded pool bar specialising in homemade mixed drinks using ingredients found in the nearby desert environment. There’s also an in-resort greenhouse and herb garden that will provide ingredients for the new pizza named Farm to Fork.

The hotel’s kids’ and teens’ club has also had an upgrade and is now offering things to do such as complimentary cooking classes in real kitchens, a passport of activities to do when in the resort, Zumba classes, yoga and new kids’ spa treatments with mum or dad.

One of the most exciting new additions is Camp Nujum, a Bedouin-styled camp reachable by camel. Once there, you will have a bonfire barbecue dinner and be regaled with tales of the past by a storyteller, followed by an overnight stay in a tent. The next morning there will be breakfast and falcon and saluki shows. The camp has the highest level of safety precautions to make sure everyone can enjoy the amazing experience without worry.

New sustainability measures are also in place – meaning it is plastic bottle and straw free and in their place will be biodegradable bottles that will also be used for composting and to grow vegetables on site. Solar panels across the resort provide energy there will be zero waste thanks to recycling promise.

There are plenty of new sport and recreation experiences, too, with a new desert volleyball court, giant chess and Jenga stations and a Zwift and

Technogym upgrade in the fitness centre. The new wellness centre now has a meditation room and new experiences, including an innovative psammo therapy treatment with quartz and heat spa beds.

We don’t know about you, but we don’t need any more reasons to visit.
