Time has flown by and the end of Expo 2020 is near. With just a month left of the incredible world showcase, we’ve gone through all the things happening to create a last month bucket list.

There really is something for everyone to enjoy at Expo 2020.

It is and has been the perfect place to create memories with family, friends and loved ones. Whether you’ve visited every pavilion or only just a few, here are 31 things to do in the last 31 days of Expo 2020.

Oh and we’ve also included some absolutely-must-try-must-experience Expo 2020 treats that cannot be missed.

March 1

Discover the digital art wall

The New Zealand pavilion is showcasing an interactive digital art wall. Guests can select an artwork to digitally ‘hang’ on the wall in the guise of a large LED screen. Over 120 pieces of New Zealand art will be available for selection. An interesting and modern take on art in the digital world.

March 2

World premiere of MIRROR the android orchestra

The open-air, Jubilee festival stage will host the incredible Android Opera ‘MIRROR’. This is an international and cross-cultural collaboration between human-like androids and the National Symphony Orchestra. Set to be an incredible sight (and sound), this is an event not to be missed.

March 3

The Coffee Fellow Championship

Head to Poland’s pavilion for the Coffee Fellow Championship. Twenty four of the region’s most talented and innovative baristas and coffee enthusiasts will compete to become the first ever Fellow Brewer’s Champion.The first round of the competition starts at 1.30pm, followed by a second round at 4.30pm and the final competition round at 6.20pm.

March 4

Expo Foosball World Cup

Cheer on your country at the Foosball World Cup. Starting on March 1 and running until March 4, there will be plenty of healthy competition as countries go head-to-head in foosball.

March 5

Architects of Air

You’ll be dazzled as you enter this luminarium. Explore a maze of winding paths as you experience a world of light, colour and sound. Large domes, gothic cathedrals and Islamic architecture – this experiential exhibit is bound to take your breath away.

March 6

Its Croatia’s National Day

Celebrate Croatia’s national day with the unique opportunity to listen to the traditional Starovinsko singing. Hailing from the Dalmatian Hinterland, this way of singing has been listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.

March 7

Listen to the beats of the La Carlota Drumbeaters

Coming from the Philippines, the La Carlota Drumbeaters will be showcasing their skills with an enthusiastic live drum performance. The audience will be in awe at the skill and the incredible sounds produced by this champion group.

March 8

Celebrate International Women’s Day at Expo 2020

Expo 2020 will host a forum for International Women’s Day. Members of government, corporations and activists will discuss topics such as gender-based discrimination in the work place. The aim of this forum is to make businesses, business owners and employees more aware of potential biases and inequalities experienced by women and the impact this has on women in business and women in leadership positions.

March 9

Get over hump day with a morning flow

Let all your problems melt away as you focus on stretching and breath work. Start the day with a stretch and Yoga Nidra techniques. This workshop is bound to put you in a good mood and re-centre your mind and body. Make time for yourself, this 30-minute class is the perfect amount of midweek mindfulness.

Discover Malaysian culture with this dance showcase

Experience a showcase like no other with traditional Malaysian music, dance and cuisine. Rich in culture and heritage, you’ll enjoy a number of performances throughout this 30-minute session.

March 11

A show for the whole family to enjoy

Commissioned by the Saudi Arabian pavilion, the entire family will enjoy this event. Expect music, puppetry, a dazzling digital screen and some audience participation. Set to be 30 minutes of non-stop action this will showcase even keep the little ones entertained.

March 12

View a unique Vietnamese arts and culture show

A combination of traditional Vietnamese art and culture. Get to know Vietnam through cultural performance and showcase of the traditional. You’ll experience some amazing performances from some of the country’s most famous folk artists and entertainers.

March 13

Take a moment to learn some football tricks

How many times can you bounce a football on your foot without dropping it? Learn some more freestyle football tricks with professional soccer ball juggler Sebastian Landauer. He can juggle five footballs all at once! If you’re a football fanatic you’ll love this and you might also learn a thing or two for the pitch.

March 14

Experience the lightshow at the China Pavilion

You’ll be in awe of this incredible lightshow. This ten minute show will dazzle onlookers; showcasing performing artists and a brilliant LED lightshow that uses the exterior of the pavilion as its canvas. You have to see this before Expo 2020 comes to an end.

March 15

Bring the kids to watch the Mascot Film

The Expo 2020 Mascots are Rashid and Latifa. You’ll be able to watch a short film about the adventure of Rashid and Latifa. A perfect way to entertain the kids and for you to take a break from walking. If you’re lucky you might spot these guys driving around Expo 2020 in a buggy at weekends – don’t forget to wave and say hi.

March 16

Watch an A1 Dubai Police K9 activity

Dog lovers will be happy to see a few waggly tails at Expo 2020. Visitors will be able to meet several Dubai Police dogs; breeds such as Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels and Border Collies. You’ll even get to have your photo taken with some of these cuties. The perfect activity for adults and kids alike.

March 17

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Ireland Pavilion

Fall in love with traditional Irish music at the Ireland pavilion. With a variety of live performers, Expo Players showcases talented Irish musicians. Great for those interested in learning more about Irish history and culture, and the perfect way to feel a little closer to home for those living abroad.

Bonus Event

In celebration of all things Irish, Irish-woman Maeve Madden will be hosting a once off fitness class. The best-selling author, down-to-earth Instagram queen and fitness expert will guide you through a work out. Wear your sweats and bring some water, grab a pal and get yourselves to the Field of Dreams – not only will this be challenging it will be so much fun!

March 18

Get low to some old school Hip-Hop beats

Every Friday you can enjoy the beats of some of Dubai’s best DJs. Expect sets of mixed Hip-Hop tracks that will make you nostalgic. You can even enjoy a coffee while you bop away to the tunes of the 90s and 00s.

March 19

Join a bicycle tour to see the Expo 2020 campus

With this guided tour of the Expo 2020 campus, you can visit the entire world in just one hour! You’ll be taken on a journey past the 192 country pavilions, and you’ll also visit all three districts; Opportunity, Sustainability and Mobility. Learn more about Expo 2020, the pavilions and the campus all while you get in a bit of light exercise. No need to bring your own bike, as Expo 2020 bikes are provided for the tour. There’s even bikes with kiddie seats on the back so the little one can join the journey.

March 20

Spend Sunday sliding in Luxembourg

If you haven’t already visited, put the Luxembourg pavilion on your list. Aside from learning about the beautiful country and culture of Luxembourg, there is a slide. Yes, you read that right. Inside the three-storey pavilion there is a giant slide. Unleash your inner child and get sliding!

March 21

Celebrate Mother’s Day at the world’s greatest show

Discover how mothers and motherhood have impacted all our lives with an inspirational show at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre. Celebrate and discover the depth of the impact motherhood has on our lives and on society. Listen to the beautiful sounds of a children’s choir, live poetry, some powerful and engaging speeches and of course some humour too.
Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre. Monday March 21, 5pm-8pm.

March 22

Visit a temporary exhibit from a French fashion icon

The France pavilion will showcase a unique exhibition; ‘Jean Paul Gaultier from A to Z’. This exhibit will take visitors on a journey of the fashion icon’s 50-year career in the industry. Expect some of the most haute-couture the fashion industry has ever seen, unforgettable pieces from his previous collections and a bit of information behind the creator who became a brand.

March 23

Get hands on with a knitting class

The perfect hands-on activity for any age. Create beautiful sea-creatures with local knitting artists. You’ll learn different knitting techniques from local creatives so that you can take your new knitting skills (and sea-creature!) home with you.

March 24

Experience one of the final ‘Global Awakenings’ at Expo 2020

Take a moment to take in the sights and listen to the sounds of the early morning; birds chirping, children giggling, small groups chattering and the early morning sun hitting the incredible gardens of Al Wasl Plaza. It’s a new day – take a beat to breathe in the fresh morning air at the incredible dome of Al Wasl Plaza.

March 25

Enjoy a bird’s eye view over Expo 2020

If you haven’t already – make sure to visit the Garden in the Sky. If you thought Expo 2020 was incredible from the ground, wait until you see it from above. Taking approximately six minutes, the Garden in the Sky is a unique feature; a rotating sky garden, complete with park benches and trees, will give you a 360 view across the entire campus. A great spot for getting your bearings, planning your next pavilion visit and getting a few good photos.

March 26

Who runs the world? Everyone. Run in the final Expo 2020 race

The perfect way to round out Expo 2020. Challenge yourself, take in the spectacular track that you’ll be running and most of all – have fun. Make sure to register well in advance! On your run, you’ll pass several pavilions and run through each of the three Expo 2020 districts Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity. Make sure you are one of the lucky runners participating in the grand finale at the epic Expo 2020 Dubai Run! Choose between a 3km, 5km or 10km track. You’ll even get a medal, tshirt and string bag to memorialise your race around one of the most spectacular campuses in the world.

March 27

Learn how to dance the Tango

Remember, it takes two to Tango. So grab your partner and head down to the Argentina pavilion for some Argentine Tango lessons. Learn about the heritage and history behind the Tango; by the end of the lesson, you’ll be dancing like a local. This is the perfect intro for beginners, or a nice way for Tango fanatics to show off their moves.

March 28

Watch a live gig at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre

Rock out to Apo & the Apostles, one of the Middle East’s leading contemporary music bands. Integrating Middle Eastern sounds with the beats of blues and dance music – this is set to be one of the most interesting and exciting performances you’ve experienced.

March 29

Dip your toes in the surreal Expo 2020 water feature

Not just a fountain, this is an Expo 2020 experience in itself not to be missed. If you haven’t done this, have you even been to Expo 2020? The seeming magic of the cascading waves over 13 metres above your head, will leave you in awe. Pro Tip: If you’ve already experienced dipping your toes during the day, we recommend visiting at night to see the fountain light up and dance beneath the stars.

March 30

Watch acrobats and Olympic medallists slam dunk

A whole host of talented athletes, including some Olympic medallists will compete against each other in the FIBA 3×3 Basketball Tournament. There will also be slam dunk entertainment provided by some of the best dunkers in the world – there will even be a feature from acrobatic dunkers. Expect backflips and slam dunks galore.

March 31

Close out an incredible Expo 2020 with an air show

Experience what is set to be a unique bitter-sweet buzz of the final day of Expo 2020. To finish out an incredible Expo 2020, Fursan Al Emarat of the United Arab Emirates Air Force will participate in an incredible air show. Trailing the colours of the UAE and performing some amazing stunts, onlookers are set to be speechless.
