Qasr Al Watan Library is hosting workshops with international authors

Budding writers can learn from the very best in the capital

Qasr Al Watan is home to one of the most impressive libraries in Abu Dhabi, with 50,000 books housed in the beautiful building.

But this month the special centre of learning is offering something extra exciting.

Established international authors are visiting the library to put on a series of panel discussions and creative writing sessions for the public.

Coming up on July 14, the ‘Cross-border Cultures’ session will be led by Jordanian author Matar Mahmood Matar Tawalbeh, who is also director of the Cordoba International Academy for Training and curator of a cultural creativity programme for talented emerging Jordanian writers.

Meanwhile, the three-day workshop entitled Talented Pends is being hosted by Syrian poet and author Jameel Dari from July 21 to 23.

The classes cover every aspect of creative writing, and they are designed to help up-and-coming writers to perfect their skills.
