Negative COVID-19 tests no longer needed to enter Abu Dhabi parks and beaches

The rule was initially in place when they opened on Friday July 3

Parks and beaches in Abu Dhabi started to reopen today (Friday July 3). 

Initial requirements for entry were a negative COVID-19 test, booking a spot in advance, wearing a mask and adhering to social distancing measures. 

However, later on the day of opening, it has now been announced that negative COVID-19 tests are no longer necessary. 

The update was announced through the Abu Dhabi Media Office official Twitter account.

The other requirements to enter remain in place. 

They are the need to book a spot using the DMT Smart Hub, have your temperature checked on the way in and be wearing a mask.

Groups of no more than four people can go together and social distancing must be adhered to. Parks and beaches cannot reach more than 40 percent capacity.

The beaches open are Corniche beach, Al Hudayriat beach and Al Marfa Public Beach in Al Dhafra.

Parks are Umm Al Emarat Park and Khalifa Park, Al Sulaimi Park in Al Ain and Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra.
