Thursday: Watch a move at Yas Drive-in cinema

This week at Yas Island’s drive-in cinema you can gather to family to see The Lion King on August 13. A maximum of 65 cars will be allowed access to each screening, with a maximum of three people to a car, or five people if from the same family. Cars can tune into a special radio frequency which will receive the audio from the movies. Tickets cost Dhs160 per person, including some snacks, and must be booked before visiting.

Friday: Chill by the pool at Le Royal Méridien


Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi has introduced a new deal with a 40 percent discount for the summer. Head along on a weekend and pool access costs Dhs120 instead of Dhs200. Plus, if you have kids in tow, little ones can join you for Dhs60. Guests are required to bring their own towels, follow all safety procedures including safe social distancing and there will be no locker rooms available for storing valuables and belongings.

Friday: Visit Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi has announced that children under the age of 18 can visit the museum for free. You still need to book tickets and a time slot ahead of visiting, but the offer is a great summer deal to share history, art and culture with blossoming minds. Plus there’s a children’s museum for little ones to check out as well as the permanent collection. If you’re staying home, you can also check out the kids’ activities on Louvre’s website here.

Saturday: Check out Yas Island’s theme parks


All four of Yas Island’s them parks are now back open including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, CLYMB Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld. Whether you want a thrill on a ride, to meet famous characters, make waves or conquer climbing walls there’s loads to keep kids and adults busy at the parks.
