WATCH: Every slide at Wild Wadi Dubai – tried

Wild Wadi is one of the most famous waterparks in the world – here’s exactly what visitors are in for

There isn’t a waterpark in the world with more iconic, instantly recognisable views than Dubai’s Wild Wadi – little wonder it’s one of the city’s most popular attractions.

Located on the fringes of Jumeirah Beach, in the shadow of Burj Al Arab, the scenes visible from its loftiest waterslides take your breath away as rapidly as the white waters sending you speeding down the next chute.

Undoubtedly Wild Wadi’s most famous waterslide is the puntastically named, 32-metres-high Jumeirah Sceirah, which kicks off with a vertical drop (the floor beneath you disappears) and dumps you down a slide, where you’ll reach up to 80kph as you hurtle towards a watery landing.

For less sheer terror, more group hysterics, check out Tantrum Alley, where you’ll find yourself in a four-man inflatable raft, whirling and swirling through a downhill course of pacey waterslides, whirlpools and tornadoes.

If that all sounds a bit heart-stopping, you’ll probably be more at home on the lazy river, or clocking in some light thrills on the rapids of Flood River.

But don’t just read about it – Time Out’s video below shows you every waterslide at Wild Wadi in Dubai, so you can get a glimpse of exactly what you’re in for at one of the world’s most iconic waterparks.

A true Dubai must-try.
