Nine brand-new rides at Bollywood Parks

Theme park is back with new attractions and half price tickets

Bollywood Parks is finally re-opening on January 21 (hurray). And, even more excitingly, it is set to look a bit different.

Having had a little revamp, the park is re-opening with nine brand-new attractions including the world’s tallest swing ride.

Plus, as an added bonus thrill-seekers can also save the dirhams with half price tickets.

Entry tickets for the new and improved park will be priced at Dhs275 with the buy one get one free offer running until February 10.

The Indian movie-inspired theme park at Dubai Parks and Resorts has been closed for almost a year, but is getting ready to welcome families back through its door following a makeover.

As well as revealing the world’s tallest swing ride, the Bollywood Skyflyer, that stands at a vertigo-inducing 460-feet tall, the park will also re-open with the Wheel of Stars, a 55 metre ferris wheel; Taxi No.1, an exciting 88 metre family rollercoaster inspired by Mumbai’s famous yellow-black cabs and Rodeo Ki Sawari, an exhilarating family ride with triple spinning action that has been inspired by the traditional Indian Rodeo experience.

But that’s not all. Adrenaline junkies can look forward to riding the Hawa Hawai, a colourful family ride that simulates the sense of flying on a hang glider as well as Abraa Ka Dabraa, a fun-filled and mystical swinging Abra ride.

Fan of water rides? Mansoon Masti is a splash-tastic family attraction that will take you on a twisty monsoon adventure, while Tanga No. 13 will whizz you around the Gateway of India in an ornately decorated horse-drawn carriages.

And the littlest park goers haven’t been overlooked either. The brand-new rocket simulator offers an adventurous space-shuttle themed tower ride specifically for the smaller family members.

There is also a new Indian restaurant, Namaste India as well as some new stalls serving up traditional Indian street food.

Shopping fans will be pleased to hear that the Bollywood Souq Bazaar is now bigger than ever where you can buy a selection of authentic Indian souvenirs and trinkets.

Chief Operating Officer at DXB Entertainments, Ahmad Hussain Bin Essa, said: “After extensive enhancements, the park has a whole new offering for 2021 that includes new food and beverage outlets, shopping experiences and world-record holding rides.

“The addition of the nine new and exciting rides will make the Bollywood Parks Dubai experience a day out like no other. The Bollywood Skyflyer ride will be the new favourite of adrenaline-seekers, while the additional eight new family rides and kids’ attractions will bring to life the vibrant culture of India,” he said.

“Each new ride has been designed to give our guests an authentic and immersive experience which will transport them to the very heart of India, without having to leave Dubai. And the fun really doesn’t stop here as still to come for the park this year is the launch of the region’s first Wooden Coaster, the Bombay Express, which will earn the park another world-record title!”

See you there, if you’re brave enough.
