EXPO 2020 Dubai opens a new family-friendly destination

Tase the kids this spring holiday

It’s nearly time to turn off those early alarms, hang up the school uniform and forget packed lunches (for a couple of weeks at least)… Hurray!

Looking for new ways to keep the kids entertained over the spring break? Expo 2020 Dubai has opened a fun-filled family-friendly pavilion that could be worth a visit during the hols.

A special preview of Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion will run for a limited time during which families will be able to visit for Dhs25 per person.

Until April 10 the educational destination features a children’s playground, and a gift shop, plus the whole gang will be able to enjoy a line-up of live entertainment.

In addition, a choice of food from the Terra Café coupled with numerous food trucks, will stop little tummies from rumbling.

And if you keep your eyes peeled, you may spot, and even get to meet, some of Expo 2020’s official mascots. Camera phones at the ready mums and dads.

The pavilion’s emotive exploratory experience includes an interactive walk through the roots of the forest and a journey under the ocean.

You’ll then be able to discover how your actions and choices impact the environment, before being empowered to make positive changes in your everyday lives.

Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion is open between 3pm and 9pm from Tuesday to Thursday, and 4pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday until April 10.

You will need to pre-book your tickets online and can travel to the site on the Expo Rider, a dedicated free bus, which is available from the Dubai Mall bus station to Expo 2020. The service runs every 30 minutes, from 2pm between Tuesday and Thursday and from 3pm on Friday and Saturday.
