The festive season has finally arrived and if you weren’t already well and truly in the mood then Expo 2020 has you covered. During, December the world’s biggest will be hosting a wonderful programme of Christmas-themed events and attractions.

The Honour Day of Poland
On Tuesday December 7, the Poland Pavilion will be hosting festivities in celebration of its National Day. There will be special appearances by top state officials from Poland and the UAE at the Al Wasl dome, along with a rendition of the Polish national anthem. In the evening, you can further immerse yourself in Polish culture with a live concert of Polish music.

Spot Santa
Father Christmas is quite a fan of Dubai. Although he will be making appearances across the emirate throughout December, he will be swinging by the Finland Pavilion to represent his home country. The man in red will be at the Finland Pavilion daily from December 17 to December 22 from 11am to 8pm. Be sure to bring your letters to Santa and if you’ve been good this year, he may just agree to be in your selfie.

Festive Films
There will be endless festive fun for all of the family this Christmas at Expo 2020. Nothing quite gets the season into full swing like those all-important holiday films. On the Jubilee stage there will be special screenings of Home Alone (December 23), Miracle on 34th Street (December 24) and Elf (December 25).

See Alica Keys live at Expo 2020
Alicia Keys will be performing at Expo 2020 as part of the Infinite Nights series. The one-night-only gig at Al Wasl Plaza will be one of the key highlights (geddit?) of Expo 2020. Her gig will mark her 20 years of chart-topping music and what’s more, she will be releasing a new double alum. Keys will be bringing some of her biggest hits to the stage such as “Empire State of Mind”, “Girl on Fire” and “If I Ain’t Got You”. Can’t make it? Not to worry. There will be a global livestream of the epic event on virtualexpodubai.com, so no one needs to miss out.

Christmas at Expo 2020
From December 20 to December 28, Expo 2020 will take Christmas to a whole new level. Combining both traditional and modern celebrations, the sitewide celebrations will well and truly immerse visitors in the festivities. The Al Wasl Plaza will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland, decked out in bedazzling adornments. Expect a unique Christmas-themed show each evening with carols, festive bites and a few surprises along the way.

Prove yourself in the kitchen
