Waterpark opens at Abu Dhabi Corniche

Aquafun part of A’l Bahar development

An inflatable waterpark is now part of Abu Dhabi’s Corniche as part of the A’l Bahar development.

There was a sneak peak of Aquafun during the 2018 The Mother of the Nation festival, but the fun venue opens for business properly on Thursday, April 19.

It has an 84-piece obstacle course with loads of steps, slides ramps and bridges and sits off the coast opposite Corniche Towers.

Bosses say it’s not only great fun, but gives a good workout, too.

Anyone from the age of five upwards can go on the inflatable, which opens from 9am to 6.30pm every day and can accommodate up to 250 people at a time.

The safety conscious needn’t worry, either, as there are up to seven lifeguards on duty at any one time.

Ahmed Ben Chaibah, founder of AquaFun (which also has a park at The Beach in Dubai), says: “We’re super excited to be joining “A’l Bahar at this fantastic destination, and bringing the first giant water inflatable to Abu Dhabi.

“There’s already so much going on, and after the success of the Mother of the Nation Festival, it’s clear to see this is a sign of great things to come.”

You can book Aquafun for birthday parties or team building exercises, too.

Prices start at Dhs105 for one person per hour and go up to Dhs157.50 for an unlimited day pass. There are discount for groups, too.

Al’Bahar will have more than 20 different restaurants and cafés when complete, including chains such as Häagen Dazs, homegrown Mexican joint Barbacoa, and new eateries for the capital, Depresso, Miyabi Sushi, and Scratch.

From Dhs105. Open daily 9am-6.30pm. Al’Bahar, The Corniche.
