Street Food Fest is back in Abu Dhabi

Sponsored: The foodie festival at the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi is running until December 30

December is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors here in Abu Dhabi, which means World Trade Center Abu Dhabi’s Street Food Fest couldn’t have come at a better time.

From now until December 30, Liwa Street, just outside the mall, will be filled with loads of stalls selling an incredible range of food from around the world.

There will be everything from American pancakes to vegan delights, freshly baked bagels to Indian street food and Arabic kebabs, all from venues found inside the mall.

Every day from 5pm to 10pm the street will come alive with the delights and buzz of a street food market and a colourful array of brilliant live entertainment.

Each stall will be serving small, sample-sized dishes from their menus, which will be at pocket-friendly prices so you can try as much as possible on your visit. So make sure youarrive hungry.

For instance, Fresh Way will be satisfying both your sweet and savoury cravings with tornado potatoes going for Dhs10 a portion, small nitrogen ice creams for Dhs15, and many more fun bites.

Lebanese restaurant Automatic will also be there, serving quality Middle Eastern bites with prices starting from Dhs10 for meat and chicken tanoors, and a range of other dishes such as shawarma, falafel and roast chicken.

Dome will be offering a range of international cuisine, with everything from mini burgers to pasta carbonara and spring rolls to chicken tikka wraps.

Other stands appearing will be from Sugar Factory, Pancake House, Stroopwafel, Hot Palayok Restaurant, Doner Gyros, Ihaw Juan, Zaitoun Akhdar, Jehangirs Kitchen, Chhappan Bhog, Nandos, Al Mandous Restaurant, Khazana, Tarbouche, Jimmy’s Killer Prawns, Bubble Tea and many more.

Local farm Rated Salyem Al Kitey Farm Organic Agriculture will also be there selling fresh produce for you to cook up a storm with at home.

Taking inspiration from the night markets of Singapore, Street Food Fest will have performances from bhangra dancers and African drummers.

Meanwhile, kids will be kept busy with the daily visits from Santa, who will be handing out sweets every evening at 7pm, tricks and jokes from a roaming clown, balloon making and a whole range of other activities in the dedicated kids’ corner. There will also be a festive choir on December 17.

There’s loads to enjoy with your friends too, with appearances from the WTC mascots and a radio roadshow from StarFM and Radio4FM.

Last year’s event was a huge hit, with the WTC area offering a different kind of event over the festive season, and 2019’s edition looks to be bigger and better still.

Oh, and did we mention the event is totally free to enter?

We can’t wait, and we’ll be first in line for a stack of pancakes. And ice cream. And bubble tea. And, well, you get the picture…
Free. Until Dec 30, 5pm-10pm. Liwa Street, World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, www.wtcad.ae.
