Popular MMA night returns to Abu Dhabi this weekend

UAE Warriors will see 24 fighters battle it out in the capital

You might me counting down the days to UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi, but there’s plenty more MMA to enjoy in the capital before September.

This weekend sees the return of UAE Warriors, that will see fighters from around the world go toe-to-toe in Abu Dhabi on July 5.

Back for the 7th edition, a total of 12 fights will take place at the returning event.

Fighters from 15 different countries including the UK, USA, Lebanon, Brazil, the Philippines and more will take part this weekend.

Taking place at Mubadala Arena, the night will feature three main events and two title fights among the line-up.

The main event will see the unbeaten fighter Chi Lewis Perry face Ben Adwubi in a highly-anticipated bout.

Fouad Darwish, the championship director, says: “UAE Warriors managed to grab the attention of MMA fighters and fans across the world and proved its status as a prestigious platform in which international mixed martial artists are keen to partake in its exhilarating action to showcase their skills, talents and techniques to a global audience.”

“Even before the conclusion of our last event back in May, our matchmakers started receiving requests from tens of fighters to feature in the upcoming event, or any subsequent edition for that matter.

“Today, we have a deep pool of talented fighters to choose from – ensuring an increasingly higher level of technical performance is presented to our ever growing fan base,”Darwish adds.

Well see you ringside.
