Abu Dhabi is home to thousands of expats from India and this month they can all take part in a cultural event celebrating their home country.
Marking India’s 72nd Independence Day, three exciting events are set to be held in the capital showcasing the best of Indian entertainment.
The programme, named Jai Ho, will take place at Abu Dhabi National Theatre from August 22 to 24.
First up, on August 22, it’s all about comedy as Indian stand-ups Amit Tandon and Biswa Kalyan Rath take to the stage to share some comedic insights and observations.
Next it’s over to Bollywood on August 23, as a live concert is performed at the venue featuring Sunidhi Chauhan who will be performing popular songs including Sajna Ji Vaari Vaari (Honeymoon Travels), Desi Girl (Dostana) and more.
Bringing the cultural celebration to a close on August 24, singer Padma Shri Hariharan will perform a concert showcasing Indian fusion music.
