It’s only August, but we’re sure some people are looking forward to the end of the year.
We mean for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, of course.
The good news for families is that a two-day festival is set to be held in the capital to ring in the start of 2020.
Resolution by Night, organised by Flash Entertainment and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, will be held at du Arena on December 31 and January 1.
Featuring live music, entertainment and activities for children and the family, organisers say an internationally-acclaimed, award-winning performer is set to kick off the celebrations on New Year’s Eve with a live gig.
At the moment, there are no details of who that performer is.
The following day, families can gather to enjoy the festival that will include a number of attractions including an inflatable obstacle course and more.

In recent years we’ve had Coldplay and Katy Perry perform on New Year’s Eve in the city.
