Celebrating Indian culture, a new three-day event is set to take over du Arena to share the traditions, pastimes, food and culture of the subcontinent with Abu Dhabi.
Yas Mega Mela, taking place from October 31 to November 2, will include live Bollywood performances, appearances from celebrity chefs, street food, bazaars and more.
Visitors can check out the entertainment stage where Bollywood dhol drummers and dancers will perform, diya lighting ceremonies will take place and Bollywood celebrities will make appearances.
In the chef’s theatre, international and local chefs will hold demonstrations, classes and share skills and recipes with visitors to help create popular dishes.
If you’re hungry, the taste of India food market will be the place to be with a host of vendors selling fresh food, sweets, treats and drinks.
A cricket academy will also take place offering aspiring players the chance to practice batting and bowling, enter competitions and take part in masterclasses.
A dedicated kids zone will also be on hand to keep little ones busy with live entertainment, arts and crafts and more.
Finally, daily fireworks will also light up the night’s sky in the spirit of the Festival of Lights, Diwali.
