Things to do in Abu Dhabi: Celebrate Golden Week at Hakkasan

Try Cantonese specialities in style with the set menu

We love trying limited edition dishes, going to pop-up restaurants and getting to try things that are only around for a short time.

The only problem is, when something is brilliant and it’s not a permanent fixture, it just makes us miss it when its gone.

You can never have too much of a good thing, as the old saying goes, but maybe we’re just being greedy.

Launching a Golden Week menu from October 1 to 7, Hakkasan will be serving up a menu packed with Cantonese dishes served in the classy restaurant’s signature style.

So what’s on the menu?

First up you can enjoy golden pumpkin soup with money bag and morel mushroom, a supreme dim sum platter, stir-fry Wagyu beef with yam bean and pine nut as well as crispy lady fish with mango and a sweet plum sauce.

That’s just the starters.

For the main course you can tuck into dishes including wok-seared tiger prawns and jasmine smoked mala chicken.

Got a sweet tooth? We hear you. For dessert you can try the golden ring, a delicate pudding with black tea, yuzu pear, ginger and dulce cream.

They had us at dim sum if we’re being honest.
