With little over a year until the long-awaited Expo 2020 Dubai swings open its doors, a special, free concert has been announced to mark the occasion later this month.
The 1 Year to Go concert will take place on Sunday October 20, and is going to be bringing international superstar Mariah Carey to Dubai for her first performance in the emirate since headlining the Dubai Jazz Festival in 2017.
The American singer is one of the biggest-selling female artists of all time, with massive hits including the timeless All I Want For Christmas is You, Always Be My Baby, Hero, Heartbreaker and We Belong Together.
Joining Carey for the special concert at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai will be Emirati singing star Hussain Al Jassmi, known throughout the Middle East, and an official ambassador of Expo 2020 Dubai.
With doors opening at 5pm, and concerts running through until 10pm, there will be plenty of local music stars, a dedicated set of interactive experiences and loads of food trucks – okay, we’re officially sold.
