It’s one of Dubai’s longest-running festivals and every year thousands of music and fashion fans head along to d3 to check out the latest in street wear, street art and top live music.
And it’s back for 2019, with it being announced that Sole DXB will be returning to d3 in December.
One of the top weekends of the winter, Sole DXB is a three-night and two-day festival combining some of the coolest street culture relevant to the region today. Taking place between Thursday December 5 and Saturday 7, there’s little that’s been revealed in terms of music line-ups so far, but if it’s anything like year then we’re set for another absolute belter.
2018 saw the regional debut live performance from hip-hop icon Nas, as well as acts from the US, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Meanwhile, some of the top clothing, footwear and sporting brands from around the world put on massive activations, games, tournaments, separate live music performances and more – including from the likes of Nike, Adidas, Puma and more. It also brought the iconic gold crown worn by Biggie Smalls – the Notorious B.I.G. himself – as an extra bonus, with visitors able to recreate the album cover.
This year, swanky American car brand Cadillac are the lead sponsor, so we’re hoping for a bit more on that front.
Elsewhere, we’re looking for more basketball tournaments, more concerts, more food trucks, loads of movie screenings, more sneakers, more.
Tickets are on pre-sale now from Dhs295 for the weekend, before prices go up to Dhs375 for the weekend from Tuesday October 22.
