New Year’s Eve in Sharjah 2019: Where to watch the fireworks in the emirate

Al Majaz Waterfront will host a ten-minute long fireworks show on Tuesday (December 31)

Al Majaz Waterfront is set to play host to a huge fireworks display this New Year’s Eve.

Visitors will be treated to a ten-minute long show with fireworks being lit from 16 barges this Tuesday (December 31), reports Khaleej Times.

You’ll get to enjoy the show and see the Sharjah fountains lit up in all their glory at the popular tourist destination on December 31.

Marwah Obaid Al Shamsi, General Manager of Al Majaz Waterfront, said that visitors should head down to the waterfront early to avoid traffic.

The New Year’s Eve celebrations aren’t the only big event Al Majaz Waterfront will be playing host to – on January 17, Lewis Capaldi will be playing Al Majaz Amphitheatre.

The concert will be the Scottish singer-songwriter’s first in the UAE.

And back in October, Al Majaz Waterfront held an event to mark one year to go until Expo 2020.

Visitors enjoyed performances from artists including Clarita De Quiroz, Benna Duo and Namal Siddiqui, before a live stream of the main event from Dubai kicked off later on in the evening.
