Calling all adventure seekers in Abu Dhabi, there’s an exciting event happening this weekend with your name written all over it.
An organised desert drive and overnight stay is taking place in Liwa desert on Friday March 13 and it sounds like an excellent way to explore Abu Dhabi’s sandy region.
The event, which is free of charge and is being hosted by OffRoad-Zone, requires you to have a 4×4 full of fuel and an overnight bag. You’ll also need to bring your own food and water as well as other essentials including a tow rope, shackles, deflator, air compressor, walkie talkie and a flag.
To join in with the fun, you’ll have to reserve your spot by Thursday March 12 as there’s limited availability for the popular event, so book it in by emailing alberto@offroad-zone.com with your name, contact and car details and get packing. After all, we don’t have much time to enjoy the desert before the summer heat creeps in.
On the day, you’ll have to be up nice and early as everyone taking part will meet at the OffRoad-Zone offices in Dubai’s Al Quoz at 8.30am for registration before setting off for the desert at 9am.
