Special Olympics UAE calls on public to help complete Steps Unified challenge

Clubs can get sports and training equipment

Special Olympics UAE has launched a new campaign to help get sports and training equipment to 100 clubs in the UAE.

The Steps Unified Challenge, taking place from August 19 to 29, calls on members of the public to help the group reach a goal of 52 million steps in ten days.

Launched in partnership with Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa Region, the challenge aims to provide support to athletes of determination in the UAE.

By reaching the target of 52 million steps, a total of ten clubs for people of determination can get sports and training equipment and provide much-needed support.

UAE residents can do their part and step up (literally) to bolster the cause by visiting https://www.inphota.com/en/event/step-unified/.

Just last year the Special Olympics World Games was held in Abu Dhabi for the very first time.

The event saw 7,500 athletes from 192 nations travel to the UAE to compete in a range of sports from volleyball and basketball to cycling and athletics.
