Bollywood royalty will be descending on the capital next month as part of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.
And we’re here to tell you there’s only one place to be and be seen over the weekend of Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4: W Abu Dhabi on Yas Island.
The swish hotel, which is well-versed in hosting celebs over the Abu Dhabi F1 weekend, has just been named as the official celebrity host hotel for the massive event.
Autograph books at the ready, because the five-star hotel will be rolling out the green carpet for the biggest stars of Indian cinema, including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar.
IIFA at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island isn’t only an ideal time for a bit of celebrity spotting, either. Hit Bollywood music makers will be spinning the decks throughout the weekend at WET Deck and W Lounge in two massive parties. Get ready to jam to Bollywood cinematic tracks.
DJ Aqeel is an award-winning DJ who has entertained prominent film and television figures Oprah, Amitabh Bachan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and many more. He will be joined by award-winning DJ, music producer and performer, Sumit Sethi, who has performed over 5,000 live shows worldwide.
The two DJs will be bringing the swish vibes to WET Deck on Thursday June 2 from 9pm to 3am. The live DJ night costs Dhs200 per person including two house beverages and with VIP tables from Dhs4,000 (minimum spend).
W Lounge will also be hosting both DJs on Friday June 3 from 9pm to 3am. Entry is Dhs200 and includes two house drinks. VIP tables start from Dhs4,000 (minimum spend).
