You’ll get your weekend lie-in first too, as the weekend breakfast kicks off from 10am and runs right through to 1am. This is very much brunch in the traditional sense, with some super satisfying dishes set to keep you going all day.

You’ll see couples, families and big groups of friends out catching up for the weekend. The added bonus. Time Out Market Dubai’s three bars are also open, with glasses of bubbly a bargainous Dhs45 and classic morning mixed drinks for Dhs45, plus the usual grape and hops.

Born in Lisbon in 2014, Time Out Market locations worldwide are the ultimate destinations for food and culture – designed to bring the best of the city together under one roof.

When it comes to breakfast in Dubai, Time Out Market Dubai certainly has its pick of the best dishes in town, with chefs like Reif Otham, Hattem Matter, Omar Rodrigues and Gilles Bosquet creating specials just for the Souk Al Bahar destination.

Here’s 18 to try.

21grams Balkan Bakery & Deli

Trying the Balkan Breakfast (Dhs72) is non-negotiable. Any leftover morsels of these delicious scrambled eggs in tomato, pepper and onion relish with chorizo sausage and feta cheese can be lovingly mopped up with homemade pita bread. You’ll also need a cheese burek just to taste 21Grams’ famous phyllo pastry pies.
Dhs48 (cheese burek). Dhs72 (Balkan breakfast).

Al Fanar Restaurant

It wouldn’t be the first Middle Eastern Time Out Market without regional flavours. Go for the shakshouka eggs in a sauce of tomatoes, chili, and pepper topped with basil. Taste a classic, with plenty to share.

BB Social Dining

Baos work any time of day at BB’s. Indulge in the truffle eggs benedict and discover a panko-crusted poached egg, hollandaise sauce and fresh black truffle. Swoon.

Boon coffee

One of four new vendors, Boon specialises in premium organic Ethiopian coffee. The perfect pairing for its choco banana ricotta pancakes oozing with chocolate sauce, cream and grated chocolate.
Dhs38

Fulvio’s Kitchen

An Italian concept from Fulvio Opalio, who heads up some of Dubai’s most awarded Italian restaurants. With three variations on scrambled eggs, the salmon is our pick, closely followed by the truffle. Go on, try both.

Lana Lusa

Also new to Time Out Market, this authentic Portuguese restaurant offers a classic tosta mista, that’s toasted bread with ham and cheese to you and me. It’s a belter and leaves you room for a pastel de nata or two.

Liban by Allo beirut

If you’ve a hankering for superb Lebanese street food then this spot from the team behind Allo Beirut is for you. The Lebanese breakfast mezze combines two eggs your way with grilled halloumi, foul moudammas, labneh, honey, achta, mixed fresh veggies and olives served with fresh saj bread and butter. Phew.

Pickl

Pickl is about the burgers. And fries. And it serves both from 10am at weekends. The breakfast bap sandwiches bacon, avocado, fried organic, cheese, dill pickles, secret sauce and Pickl’s potato bun.

Pitfire

Didn’t think pizza would be a breakfast option? Ah ha, that’s where Pitfire is set to delight. The morning glory pizza has an olive oil base, cheese, roasted potatoes, homemade breakfast sausage and a sunny side up egg served with a dash of HP sauce. For dipping those perfectly blistered crusts. Drool.

There are few heartier, healthier breakfasts than a warming bowl of noodle soup pho in 14-hour bone broth. The chicken thigh pho is our all-time fave.
