What’s on the menu for dinner tonight, Abu Dhabi?
If you’re not in the mood to cook (or can’t cook, won’t cook) and you have a hankering for some homely fare, we have some good news for you: Dubai’s Mama Rita is now delivering across the capital.
The brainchild of mother-daughter duo Rita and Jessica Kahawaty, the delivery-only restaurant serves up comforting, home-style dishes including beetroot hummus, vegetarian lasagne and beef stroganoff.
If you’ve craving traditional Middle Eastern dishes, other highlights include mulukhiyah (a warming stew made of leafy vegetables and served with rice), vine leaves stuffed with minced meat and rice, oriental rice with lamb, spinach and beetroot fatayer, and Rita’s signature marinated-overnight shawarma platter.
Abu Dhabi residents can now order from Mama Rita daily between 11am and 10pm via the Mama Rita website.
