If you’re practising social distancing and are on the hunt for fun and creative things to do in the UAE this weekend, read on.
ArtistPals, a UAE-based art workshop, is hosting an online painting party this weekend on Friday March 27.
The virtual workshop will take place between 4pm and 6pm and is completely free to join, with the instructor streaming live from both Facebook and Instagram (@artistpals)
The theme will be Yellow Maple and the instructor will guide you through each step and brush stroke, all while encouraging you to get creative in your own way.
As for supplies, most of the required materials are listed below (stuff artists of Dubai may already have laying around at home).
• One brush of any size
• Acrylic or oil paints – white, black, primary yellow, primary red and primary blue. If you’re missing any of the colours you needn’t worry as you can just make use of what you have and get creative in your own way.
• Canvas or painting paper
• 10 cotton swabs
• One elastic band
• A paper towel
• A cup of water for washing your brush
