However, to ensure we all get what we need Carrefour is encouraging everyone in the UAE to shop responsibly and be mindful of one another.

The chain released a statement explaining there is no need to panic buy anything as they have plenty of stock and will not be increasing the prices of any of their groceries and additional items.

The statement reads: ‘While shopping malls are closing in the UAE, all our stores remain open and fully stocked for customers, operating at our regular times.

“We encourage all of our valued customers to shop responsibly and be mindful of others. We have full confidence in our stock and supply chain and we continue to monitor stock levels to ensure we adequately cater to customer needs.

“We are also working closely with suppliers to ensure the essential products remain at reasonable prices so that our customers don’t experience and increase in their shopping bill.”

Carrefour has also implemented full sanitisation off all stores as well as social distancing rules to protect shoppers and staff.

Good on you, Carrefour.
