Four celebrity chefs and food bloggers share their ultimate Easter recipes to try at home

From Gordon Ramsay’s ten-minute lamb chops to Jamie Oliver’s Easter roast dinner

With all that’s happening in the world right now due to coronavirus, it feels like Easter has crept up on us this year. But just because we’re celebrating the holiday a little differently this weekend, doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of it.

You’ll agree when we say that one of the greatest highlights of Easter is all the delicious food we get to eat (chocolate included). This year, we have more time than ever to perfect our Easter feasts so why not go all out?

If you’re the one who’s usually in charge of preparing the annual meal then take advance of all the extra free time to experiment with new recipes or additional dishes. If you’re not and tend to head out for the occasion then here’s your opportunity to get adventurous in the kitchen and try your hand at something new. Who knows? It could become a new tradition, or at least a new hobby.

But first, you’ll need a little inspiration. To help you cook some excellent Easter grub on Sunday, here are five great recipes and tutorials by some of our go-to celebrity chefs and food influencers. Enjoy!

Ainsley Harriott

If you want to cook a lamb this Easter, then why not add a Mediterranean twist? Ainsley Harriot has shared an easy to follow recipe for his chargrilled lamb steaks and artichokes with rosemary and honey glaze on Instagram. The dish is from his latest cookbook and needs only a few ingredients. According to the British chef, his recipe uses just a simple honey glaze to enhance the flavour of the lamb, while the sweet nutty taste of the artichoke aims to compliment the meat. Give it a go!

Gordon Ramsay

Here, everyone’s favourite angry chef Gordon Ramsay shows off his skills by demonstrating how to make a lamb chop dish at home in just ten minutes. He keeps his list of ingredients small by using just a few essentials to season before grilling the lamb chops on n oil-free pan. The results look great but we have to admit, the highlights of the video has got to be the adorable glimpses into his family life has he celebrates his baby son Oscar’s first birthday with his wife and kids.

In this old gem, Jamie talks us through the process of cooking a roast lamb with gravy and salsa verde, an Italian twist on a mint sauce. For the leg of lamb itself, he uses anchovies as a secret ingredient along with traditional rosemary and garlic for extra taste and flavour. Simply Quinoa

While traditional Easter dishes focus on meat, there are plenty of ways to make your Easter table meat-free. Food blogger and YouTuber Alyssa Rimmer, better known as Simply Quinoa, has a huge following thanks to her quick and easy recipes. She dedicates her content to all things vegan and has shared three healthy Easter recipes for those who follow a plat-based diet, from carrot cake baked oatmeal to springy quinoa salad.
