With all this time at home, cooking has fast become one of our favourite hobbies, and a delicious one at that, especially as restaurants in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai have made the process a lot easier by offering boxes to help us recreate dishes at home.
Earlier this month, we announced that Abu Dhabi’s No. FiftySeven Boutique Café had launched an ingredient box delivery service, Tania’s Teahouse in Dubai is delivering self-care kits and now, Jones The Grocer has introduced a similar concept.
The deli and restaurant is now selling home cooking boxes made up of fresh produce and the speciality ingredients needed to make some of the popular dishes on its menu.
Available for delivery in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, each recipe box contains chef-selected fresh produce and ingredients with quantities measured for each recipe.
Take your pick of seven options, including Jones The Grocer’s Ultimate Wagyu Burger recipe box, which serves four and includes four wagyu patties, brioche buns, beef bacon, cheddar cheese and secret sauce, for Dhs299. Or, if you fancy the café’s Tartuflanghe black truffle and mushroom risotto, recreate it with the recipe box featuring Seggiano’s organic carnaroli rice, homemade mushroom stock, fresh mushroom, Jones’ extra virgin olive oil, Tartuflanghe black truffle oil, Maldon salt and 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano. This also serves four and is priced at Dhs349.
Other recipe boxes include ingredients to make sea bass with chilli, bok choi, yuzu ponzu dressing and soba noodles, penne rigata pasta and chermoula rubbed black Angus Aussie steak, as well as a fresh breakfast option and ingredients for a cheesy treat.
