Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park launches immersive Grow At Home initiative

Learn to cook, plant, exercise and meditate from home

People all across Abu Dhabi are in self isolation and staying home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Helping residents to stay home and still be connected with nature, one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular public parks has launched a new campaign.

Umm Al Emarat Park has launched the #GrowAtHome initiative that features a host of online sessions to keep us busy and stay connected to the great outdoors.

As part of the campaign you can join in on a range of sessions on the park’s social media channels including cooking, planting, exercising and meditating.

You can watch the park’s gardening 101 series to get some tips, learn new recipes from the chefs at the park’s restaurants and get a great workout thanks to UAE-based trainers and fitness instructors.

“Umm Al Emarat Park has a role to play in supporting and promoting the UAE government’s efforts to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents and community,” said Rasha Kablawi, head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communication Department.

“We have always promoted the importance of nature and its intrinsic value to all humans, especially the impact on mental health and physical wellbeing.

“Since we are unable to welcome our guests to the park for the time being, we wanted to deliver different elements of the Park’s experience and nature to homes across the UAE.”
