Louvre Abu Dhabi releases playlists inspired by its collections

The museum has partnered with anghami to curate the unique music series

In a creative attempt to keep people in the city engaged and entertained at home, Louvre Abu Dhabi has teamed up with music streaming app anghami to launch a series of special playlists inspired by the museum’s collections.

As the attraction is currently closed due to COVID-19, you can now experience Louvre Abu Dhabi’s collections through music in a series of playlists hand selected by anghami’s curators.

To make sure the playlists resonated with the artwork, the curators conducted deep-dive research to get it just right. Each unique playlist includes a variety of music choices that also depict how sound evolved throughout the years and consists of around 20 to 30 tracks.

“Our partnership with anghami is a testament to our ongoing engagement with the creative industry in the region. The playlists offer a new and innovative dimension for audiences to experience Louvre Abu Dhabi’s collection through the universal language of music,” said Manuel Rabaté, director of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Similarly, Elie Abou Saleh, vice president for the GCC market at anghami added: “Our focus at anghami has always been to support our community across the MENA region, especially around nurturing the world of arts. Our partnership with Louvre Abu Dhabi is a further step in that direction.”

The exciting collaboration has kicked off with the launch of the first seven playlists, all of which can be streamed on both louvreabudhabi.ae and anghami.com as well as on the anghami’s app.
